What to expect: A sweet story about finding where one belongs, even if it is an adventure to get there.
Nandi, a baby elephant, thinks she is where she is supposed to be, until one day a group of rhinos tell her the exact opposite. Nandi takes an adventure around her home, the Savanna, to figure out where she belongs. Her journey takes her to different parts of her homeland where she- just doesn't belong. It isn't until she makes a full circle back to her mom at the watering hole, where she realizes not only where she belongs, but her worth too!
I love how the book takes a serious topic, belonging and self worth, and puts a fun twist on the story using unexpected characters, in an environment one may not be familiar with. The animals are beautifully portrayed through colorful and vibrant illustrations, that make the story that much better!
I give this book 5/5 Warrior Stars!
