What to expect: A wonderful, child friendly story, that depicts the idea of ADHD, in a positive and relatable way.
Kid the goat, has a mind that often times focuses on one thing and only one thing. Sometimes that is all he can think about. One day, he decides to go on an adventure. An adventure in which he focuses on making his farm friends smile or laugh, because it is too quiet on the farm! With an amazing brain like his, he comes up with some fantastic ways of doing so, at least he thinks so. Do the animals think so too or are they getting annoyed by him?
This Kid Can Hyperfocus, is a wonderful book that captures the understanding of an individual with ADHD. Sometimes, an ADHD diagnosis can seem negative, this story however, portrays ADHD in a positive, child friendly, relatable adventure, which I absolutely love and appreciate. The beautiful and vibrant pictures in combination with the story, makes for an outstanding book that should be in every house and school!
I give this book 5/5 Warrior Stars!
