What to expect: A sweet and funny story about a few unlikely residents in Room 123, that just want to hear someone read them a story!
During the summer months, two unlikely residents scurry throughout Room 123. However, when September comes around, they need to be strategic if and when they come out of their hole, because now they share Room 123 with Ms. Pierre and her kiddos. Ms. Pierre reads a story so good that they unknowingly come out of their hole, forgetting the room is full of others, and mayhem ensues! Ms. Pierre calms the class down, but do they tell someone that there are mice running around their room or keep it to themselves?
This book is great in so many ways! First, it is easy to read because of the rhyming pattern throughout. The message behind the story is an inspiring one, especially for children- being different is OK and including all is what makes the world a better place. In addition, the illustrations are cute, yet realistic, and pair perfectly with the sweet story!
I would give this book 5/5 Warrior Stars!
