Boo's Shoes- A Rabbit and Fox Story

Written by: Sybrina Durant

Illustrated by: Pumudi Gardiyawasam

Age Range: 4 years +

Page Count: 32

What to expect: A book that helps introduce children to not only how to tie their shoes, but why it is an important skill to know how to do!

Boo thinks learning how to tie shoes is pointless. Afterall, he has a variety of shoes for every occasion and none of them have ties, so then why should he learn? It's only when he talks with his friend Farah, that he realizes just how important the skill of tying really is!

Although this is a type of 'how to' book, it is really so much more! I love how in addition to the 'how to' directions at the back, there is a cute little story that happens before. The story and the characters grab the attention of the reader, especially children, and by the end of the story, they want to try and tie shoes too! The illustrations are wonderfully done, and paired with the cute story. It is a book that should be in every household with young children, as well as in every elementary classroom!

I would give this book 5/5 Warrior Stars!
